The Path of 5 Elements, Slanica areal

Restaurant | Areál| Wellness| Business house | Záhrada

Conceptual design of the hotel complex area as a counter-proposal to the investor's idea of building another parking lot at the entrance level to the restaurant with planting on the slope. Instead of an unrealistically steep approach, I designed a barrier-free walkway not only for disadvantaged visitors between the newly created cascades. I also conceived the walkway as a path through the landscape with stops for rest with a view of the dam. I assigned one of the elements to each stop, and thus the path of five elements was created.

In this way, the upper flat but grassy part can be used for children's games, or for seasonal events such as creative workshops, markets, tastings, corporate or even wedding events. At the same time, restaurant and wellness visitors have beautiful views of the greenery instead of the originally planned parking lot with cars. By the way, there is a large-capacity parking lot under the restaurant and the hotel has an elevator for disabled visitors.
