When I was approached by IKEA Components to design the reception area and its space, I thought it was a joke. However, I responded to the offer. The original round beech reception desk needed to be replaced with something newer, more practical and ergonomic, and of course the whole interior design had to be in line with the Scandinavian brand's international standards.
So I came up with a jigsaw reception, symbolizing IKEA's philosophy of self-assembly of the interior. Ergonomic access from the front allows for comfortable standing at the reception desk, there is space for a staff printer on the side, and there is a hidden storage area under the counter for the reception staff. A corner is used to place seasonal decorations.
On the basis of good cooperation, I further suggested fan irreplaceable canteen in another building, as well as offices.
