Transformation of a house under the forest, Stupava

Interior / Exterior

Rekreačný charakter domu pod lesom sa vplyvom štýlového tehličkového obkladu mení zo štandartného na  štýlový modernejší exteriér domu s industriálnym nádychom.  Obklad zjednocuje  exteriér interérom zároveň však opticky rozbíja fasádu  inak veľkého domu.

An essential part of the solution was the extension of the terrace on the 1st floor and the creation of a large terrace on the ground floor with an overlay. The owners' intention was to make a fixed roofing. Since the living room and kitchen are just upstairs, only the visualization made it clear that they would not be able to see the children playing downstairs, which would be impractical for a young family with children. I used a glass railing on the upstairs terrace for the very same reason.

As the orientation is south-west with direct sun, the terrace must be protected not only from above but also from the front, at least with curtains. The solution with an aluminium pergola is the most expensive but the most variable. The top aluminium slats are swivellable and allow complete closure in the event of rain, with the water being drained away in grooves.for rainwater drainage. Shutters are proposed on the ground floor in place of the original grilles.

Another requirement was the creation of a barbecue area as well as the design of the outdoor fireplace itself. I placed it in front of the walkway behind the fence, so that it would be both a view screen for passers-by and, conversely, so that it would not divide the central space on the narrow plot.
